Unruly means to me breaking down walls set to confine one to societal ‘norms,’ which can often be misinterpreted as being disorderly and disruptive. To be unruly means not conforming to normalcy. In fact, it is to be different. I think of unruly as taking risks and pushing boundaries no matter the obstacle. Think of it as a military mindset where you keep persevering at all costs. Quitting is not an option when it comes to being unruly. Instead, it’s the act of never giving up even if that means failing 100 times, because in the end, unruly is about breaking down walls.
